Liaqat visits flood-hit areas of Nagrota Constituency

JAMMU, Sept 15: National Conference senior leader, Ch Liaqat Ali visited flood-hit areas of Nagrota Constituency to take stock of the damages caused by the heavy rains.
After visiting villages Chambitar, Kotdhera, Nadian, Ujhan and Nagrota, Mr Liaqat said that the floods have caused a heavy loss to the property of the people, adding that the need is to make genuine survey of the losses and compensate those who have lost their houses with tents, blankets and allied facilities at an earliest.
He further said that the affected people should be provided with ration, LPG, medicines and other necessary amenities to help them tackle the situation.
Mr Gharu said that many houses have been demolished in Chambitar, Nagrota and Nadian villages due to landslide and the heavy rains have taken lives of many domestic animals in the area.
He assured the flood-hit people that every facility will be provided to them for their comfortable living.
