Gharu Ram takes stock of damages caused by floods in Suchetgarh

JAMMU, Sept 15: Ch Gharu Ram, former Minister and senior Congress leader visited Suchetgarh Constituency to take stock of the damages caused by the heavy rains and floods.
After visiting villages Hansa, Sai, Pindi Sarocha, Badyal Brahmna, Chakroi, Nai Basti, Devangarh, Abdal, Mr Gharu said that both ‘kacha’ and ‘paka’ houses have been damaged by the rains and flash-floods.
While interacting with the people at different places he assured them that a reasonable amount of compensation will be paid to the house owners according to the quantum of loss.
He also spoke to SDM RS Pura and sought his personal intervention in accessing the loss of houses and crops due to flood and rains.
He urged upon the authorities to compensate those farmers whose pump sets, motors or diesel engines have been washed away in floods.
He appealed the Government for providing compensation to the people who had suffered due to firing at the International border recently.
