Property dealer shot dead in Mau district

Varanasi: Abhinav Rai, a property dealer, was shot dead by two motorcycle borne miscreants near Ghazipur crossing under Kotwali police station in Mau district on Monday.
According to reports, Abhinav was a native of Ballia district. His mother is posted at district hospital in Mau as midwife. He had started dwelling in Mau with his mother where he was operating as property dealer to earn livelihood.
On Monday morning, he was going somewhere when two motorcycle borne miscreants opened fire at him near Ghazipur crossing and fled from the scene. The locals immediately rushed him to the district hospital where in view of his deteriorating condition, the doctors referred him to another hospital. But he died on the way.
According to Tej Swarup, ASP Mau, Abhinav’s mother lodged an FIR against his business partner Sunil Verma and two unidentified shooters in this connection. Police said that the case would be worked out soon.
Killed in mishap: Sunil Bind (26), a native of Ghazipur, was killed when a truck ran over him near Mirashah crossing under Phoolpur police station in Varanasi on Monday morning.According to reports, Sunil was employed in Surat (Gujarat). He had boarded a train in Surat to reach Ghazipur. He alighted at Jaunpur railway station from where he reached Phoolpur by a truck. He was crossing the road to catch some other vehicle for reaching
Ghazipur when the incident occurred. He died on the spot. Police have arrested the truck driver.
