Activists of the Telangana State Rajaka Sangham took out a rally in Khammam on Monday seeking installation of a statue of Chakali Ilamma, the valiant fighter of the Telangana Peasants’ Armed Struggle, in the town.

Members owing allegiance to the district unit of the association from various parts of the town and elsewhere in the district took part in the rally.

A delegation of the association submitted a memorandum to the authorities concerned at the Collectorate later in the day. P Krishna, B Suryam, Ch Kashaiah, L Saidulu, P Krishnaveni and others were part of the delegation.
