An auto driver tried to kidnap a nurse at Outer Ring Road (ORR) in Medak district on Monday evening. According to Banur police, Kalpana was working in a private nursing home at Patancheru and she has engaged a share auto to return to Isnapur.
After all the passengers got down at a place near Pati village, the auto driver Mansoor tried to divert the route stating that it was short cut to Isnapur and ran the auto fast.
Suspecting foul play, the woman cried for help. Hearing her shouts, some locals alerted a car moving in the same direction which has chased the auto and stopped it.
In an effort to escape, the auto driver ran it speed resulting in accident. Ms. Kalpana received minor injuries.
