Lloyd Braun‘s Whalerock Industries has expanded its film and scripted TV unit with three exec appointments.

Aaron Ensweiler, formerly with Hutch Parker Entertainment, has joined as VP. John-Eric Capps has signed on as a creative exec and Kate Lewis has been upped to division coordinator.

Whalerock was formed by Braun in February following the end of his partnership with Gail Berman in BermanBraun. At that time, Braun named Andrew Mittman president of a division tasked with development film and scripted TV projects.

Ensweiler was previously responsible for television development as VP of Hutch Parker’s banner. Capps worked in development on feature films at the Film 360 division of Management 360.

“They are both uniquely entrepreneurial, have fantastic taste and development skills and share our philosophy that TV and feature film development should not be mutually exclusive pursuits,” Mittman said in announcing the hires.

Lewis has worked with Mittman at BermanBraun on shows including Syfy’s “Alphas,” History’s “Decoded” and Showtime’s “Polyamory: Married & Dating.” Mittman called her “one of our secret weapons.”
