Despite reports of an impending split and a second pregnancy, Beyoncé and Jay Z appear to be the picture of a happy couple in a newly released clip.
Just two days after wrapping their “On the Run” tour in Paris, the couple has released the first installment of a short-film trilogy entitled “Bang Bang.” Directed by New York-based filmmaker and photographer Dikayl Rimmasch, the nearly three-minute clip shows the power couple speeding through the desert in 1960 Pontiac GTO.
Rimmasch quoted Jay Z’s “On the Run” concept to Nowness.com, “’We’re not trying to do this literally, it’s not that we’re Bonnie and Clyde. We’re on the run from everything. On the run from becoming a cliché. On the run from doing the same thing again.”
“Everything he mentioned was a level of consciousness he has for staying alive as an entertainer and as a human being. He wanted to keep it more abstract because for him it was very abstract. How do you stay new, not just to your audience but also yourself,” Rimmasch added.
Beyoncé and Jay Z’s “On the Run” Paris show airs on HBO on September 20.
