BHOPAL: State information commission on Saturday directed police officials to provide information regarding constable recruitment exam to an applicant who was denied information earlier.
Applicant Om Prakash Sharma, a resident of Morena sought copies of his answer-sheets and of all those who appeared in constables' recruitment examinations held at Sheopur district in 2011. Information was denied by DIG Chambal range saying that it does not pertain to any public interest.

He appealed before the first appellate authority but his request was not entertained and subsequently he moved state information commission.
Commission while hearing his appeal, instructed DIG Chambal range to provide copies of his mark-sheets and the marks secured by other applicants in constables' recruitment exam to applicant in 15 days and submit a report on October 14.
Commenting on the case, information commissioner Atmadeep wrote in his orders information pertaining to any recruitment exam should be proactively disclosed after declaration of results for greater transparency, UPSC and MPPSC have already started disclosing such information with the same purpose.
