Drunk driver hits barricade
An Audi of a businessman rammeda police barricade near Pragati Maidan around 11pm on Saturday.Only the driver, Angad Arora, was injured.Police said he was arrested but released on bail.He tested positive for alcohol.
NEW DELHI: An Audi of a businessman rammeda police barricade near Pragati Maidan around 11pm on Saturday. Only the driver, Angad Arora, was injured. Police said he was arrested but released on bail. He tested positive for alcohol.
Arora, who was coming from south Delhi, was speeding towards ITO when he hit the barricade, dragging it for a few metres. The cops jumped out of the way and caught up with Arora while he was getting off.Arora was taken to Tilak Marg police station where he was charged with rash driving.
He said that he had lost control of the vehicle while getting past the barricade. Police said that he has also been challaned for drunken driving.
