A birthday release makes a film extra special for an actor: Upendra

The Upendra-starrer Super Ranga, which is the Kannada remake of the Tollywood blockbuster Kick, is set to release this week. Coincidentally, it is timed around the Sandalwood’s Real Star’s birthday, which falls on September 18. Speaking about the relevance of such a release date, Uppi says, “For me, a birthday has always been a day dedicated to the fans. More than being a special occasion in my life, it is a day that they get to celebrate more than me.By releasing a film on that day, it becomes the best gift for the fans, making it extra special for an actor. I’ve had a few such releases in the past, which I consider lucky.” Previously, Upendra has had films that have been timed around his birthday week. “Films like Rakta Kanneeru, Omkara, Auto Shankar and Buddhivanta have released around the time of my birthday. They have been well-received and celebrated by my fans. The fact that Super Ranga will join this list makes the film extra special for me,” says Upendra.
