There Will Be No Discounts On Tickets Like TOIFA So Buy Early, Say Promoters

“We will not in any circumstances discount the tickets as we are putting on an actual show for the crowd and not an Awards show which TOIFA was,” said DBR Entertainment spokesperson Rana Atwal at a media luncheon last Saturday at the SLAM co-promoters Gagan and Mona Matta’s Verka Foods head office in Surrey.

SURREY –  SLAM The Tour is evoking tremendous interest in Canada and especially in Vancouver, the only  Canadian city selected for the show featuring superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

But those hoping to get discounted tickets like it happened at the BC’s $11 million gift to Times of India Group backed TOIFA awards show, promoters say the already modestly priced tickets for this big Bollywood extravaganza will not be discounted in any case.

“We will not in any circumstances discount the tickets as we are putting on an actual show for the crowd and not an Awards show which TOIFA was,” said DBR Entertainment spokesperson Rana Atwal at a media luncheon last Saturday at the SLAM-co-promoterts Gagan and Mona Matta’s Verka Foods head office in Surrey.

Promoters told the gathered media that all arrangements are in full swing for the Sep 27th show at PNE Colesium in Vancouver starting at 7.30 pm and they are urging the fans to buy their tickets early so avoid disappointment.

“Tickets are moving very well and we are confident that the show is going to sell out because it is the best entertainment your money can buy with great stars, music and a fireworks show second to none,” said Mona Matta and others to a question raised by the LINK regards to the response to the show so far.

The promoters said the tickets are selling fast and people from as far as Montreal, Toronto and Halifax are coming to enjoy this  extravaganza.

However some of the fans are complaining that during the TOIFA celebration last year, ticket prices were reduced at the last minute and people fear that this practice will be followed this time also. But Rana Atwal assured the fans that there will be no compromise on the ticket prices.

Atwal further said the people will enjoy a spectacular production where Shah Rukh Khan will be on the stage for more than an hour , which is the longest time he has been ever on stage in any concert or world tour. “This will be the biggest ever live show in Bollywood concert people have ever seen in North America”, assures Atwal.

Another first of Bollywood live in concert in North America would be the spectacular moving LED panels as part of the light show. Extensive use of pyrotechnics   and numerous special effects will be the highlight of the show and the fans will see the best in Bollywood show entertainment.

Bollywood, over the years, has not just entertained the Indian audiences but has also garnered a lot of love and support from the world audience. Keeping this in mind, the promoters have decided to donate a partial amount from the sale of tickets to BC Children’s Hospital.
