Pandya Movie Review

Despite a promising cast ---most actors who have proved their mettle in the small screen making their presence felt---Pandya by director Devu miserably fails to lift the spirit of viewers. The reason: A poor script and equally bad narration. Pandya seldom makes you entertained or educated.



This is the story of four irresponsible youths who learn the life lessons through several bitter experiences. Chandru, Swamy, Sukku and Ravi are jobless and hence kill their time loitering on streets. As custom suggests, the twist comes when one of them falls in love. Chandru is neck deep in love with Pallavi (Spoorthi) though his parents had selected Shaila (Manasi) for him. The youths get arrested by police in connection with a fight with autorickshaw drivers. An upset Pallavi leaves Chandru. The four get bail and many dramatic incidents follows. These events eventually make them ‘good’ boys.

Except seniors like Spoorthi , Malathi Sardeshpande and Sapna, the actors who played other roles need to hone their acting skills. Even Sharath Lohithashwa’s role does not suit him at all. Ravi seems to have little knowledge of acting. Music by Gopi Krishna and camera by Gowri Venkatesh are not up to the mark.
