VADODARA: City-lad Ajay Kashyap, 19, has become the first student from Gujarat to present a paper at the annual international conference on law, economics and politics at Oxford University.
Kashyap along with his batchmate Purva Phadke, 19, participated in the conference organized by the Français Langue Étrangère (FLE) Learning and United Nations Institute of Training and Research (UNITAR).

Kashyap and Phadke - both students of Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar had sent their abstract to the panel last month and were then invited to submit a research paper and a presentation.
They presented a paper on 'Elections 2014: inclusive participation and consolidation of the Indian democracy' last week at Green Templeton College, Oxford.
"The thought that experts from United Nations Organization can be interested in what you are saying is a great achievement in itself. The experience has made our perspectives more global which will definitely help us in our career," said Kashyap.
The panel of experts at the conference, headed by UNITAR course director Ramandeep Kaur Chhina, appreciated the duo's presentation and allotted them an additional time of 10 minutes.
