RAJKOT: Bypolls to Vadodara Lok Sabha and nine assembly constituencies in the state will be held on Saturday. The assembly segments that will witness the bypoll are Maninagar, Talaja, Mangrol Jamkhambhalia, Deesa, Tankara, Matar, Anand and Limkheda.
Winning these polls will be a prestige issue for BJP as the party had held all these constituencies before their sitting MLAs went on to win the recent parliamentary polls.
They are also being seen as a litmus test for chief minister Anandiben Patel. For Congress, a good performance could infuse some life into its dwindling political fortunes in the state.

On Vadodara seat, the battle is now between Ranjan Bhatt of the BJP and Narendra Rawat of the Congress. In Maninagar, Suresh Patel of the BJP is pitted against Jatin Kella of the Congress.
