From folky beats to Mrs Doyle and the coffee revolution, the RDS in Dublin is brimming with aromatic delights this weekend.

The inaugural 'Dublin Coffee and Tea Festival' aims to celebrate the "ever-more sophisticated tastes" of Irish coffee and tea drinkers.

Some of the best cuppa companies in the country have their wares on show, including 'Mrs Doyle's Tea Company,' a self-styled "all-over lovely girls enterprise".

Brand director Aine Nic An Riogh said she they had teas to suit any mood, including the 'Hangover Tea' with milk thistle and chilli seeds for a "bit of a boost to the head".

Ireland's first World Barista Champion, Stephen Morrissey is also at the RDS. He has been amazed at the explosion in Irish coffee culture. "The challenge was telling people that coffee is more than just a caffeine delivery system, and now it is totally different," he said.

"I feel they are starting to realise that there is just so much more to coffee now."
