FAISLABAD- Pakistani spinner Saeed Ajmal has withdrawn from domestic T20 competition in order to focus on his bowling action.
The cricketer will work in Lahore with specialists to fix his actions, after being banned from international cricket by the ICC when he was found to be breaking the 15 degrees of flex ruling for bowlers.
“Ajmal will engage in a rehabilitation program starting from Monday,” according to a Pakistan Cricket Board spokesperson.
Former Pakistani spinner Saqlain Mushtaq has been asked to help Ajmal. Hopeful of getting his retesting done ahead of the World Cup in February next year, the two are due to join up later this month.
