Tempting aroma of biryani

Biriyaniwala, which was started eight months back at the ITPL, Whitefield, has grown over a short span of time.

The eatery, which was started by three friends, has now moved to Kundanahalli gate as they felt that it was more viable for their business model. Known for a melange of North and South Indian varieties, the restaurant specialises in 16 types of biryani and 24 types of North Indian combos.

Rinku, one of the owners says, “We cater mainly to North Indian flavours and this works well in the City as Bangalore is known for the metro culture. We also have a few South Indian dishes like Guntoor Biryani and other Andhra cuisines as it’s not possible to do business in South India without catering to South Indians.”

Their variety of options is what attracts a wide range of customers, from youngsters to families. The chicken biryani served here has different boneless options with Indian gravies, Thai curry, paneer tikka, fish biryani and mutton biryani.

“Lots of youngsters come in and our home delivery services are also popular in apartment complexes and student PG accommodations. We also serve special tandoori combos. In one of the combos, we serve half of all the side dishes which is a big hit among families,” adds Rinku.

The eatery is located on first floor, NS Complex, Kundanahalli Gate, ITPL Main Road, Brookefields.
