Allen sets up Selby semi-final

Mark Allen held off a late fightback from Michael White to secure a 5-4 victory in the Shanghai Masters quarter-finals on Friday.

After taking a 4-1 lead, Northern Ireland's Allen saw Welshman White take the match into a deciding frame.

However, Allen kept his nerve to set up a semi-final on Saturday against Mark Selby, who thrashed Fergal O'Brien 5-0.

The other semi-final sees defending champion and world No.3 Ding Junhui take on Stuart Bingham. China's Ding saw off Graeme Dott 5-2 while Bingham beat Ronnie O'Sullivan's conqueror Alan McManus 5-1.
