A 21-year-old man has died following being shot on his doorstep in south-west London.
Police were called to Tennyson Street in Battersea at 23.30 after reports of gunfire, and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
Paramedics rushed the man to hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. However, he eventually succumbed to his injuries at 01:00 on Friday morning.
Family and neighbours described the victim as a “wonderful man” that was well liked in the community.
Tennyson Street was sealed off on Friday morning as forensic investigators examined the scene.
Detectives have appealed for witnesses to the shooting to come forward.
