MANGALORE: Hiresindogi in Koppal taluk of Koppal district recorded maximum rainfall of 83mm in Karnataka in the last 24-hours up to 8.30am on September 12. Yediyur hobli in Kunigal taluk of Tumkur district recorded maximum temperature of 36.8°C on September 11 at 2pm. Bankal hobli in Mudigere taluk of Chikmagalur district recorded lowest minimum temperature of 16°C on September 12 from 6am to 6.30am.

Karnataka for the period from September 6 to September 12 recorded deficit rainfall of 7%. Against normal weighted average rainfall of 28.6mm in south-interior, north-interior, malnad and coastal parts, state recorded rainfall of 26.6mm. For 24-hours period ending 8.30am on September 12, four geographical regions received 1.7mm actual weighted average rainfall against normal weighted average rainfall of 4.7mm, a 65% deficit departure from normal.
