An orphan boy student of a local private college clinched top position in Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) part-II (composite) examination annual-2014, held under the auspices of AJK Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Mirpur.
At the same time, girl students also stayed atop top two positions out of top 20 positions in the results of the annual HSSC part-II examination-2014 announced here on Thursday.
Top position-holder Khurshid Hassan, son of Abdul Rehman (Role No. 505626), belonging to remote Samahni valley, is a student of private-sector Read Foundation College Samani, Bhimbher district.
The preliminary analyses of the overall results spoke of the unprecedented excellent performance of the private-sector colleges as compared to those running in the public sector across Azad Jammu Kashmir - as only one government college secured only one position out of first top 20 positions in the result.
Similarly private Read Foundation College Samahni, Bhimbher district secured the top position in entire board as this college clinched six positions out of first top 20 positions including the first top position clinched by its student Khurshid Hassan with 1,028 marks out of 1,100 marks.
According to details, the AJK BISE Mirpur here Thursday unveiled the names of top 20 positions-holders in the HSSC annual part-II results.
The overall results of the annual intermediate (part II)/composite examination 2014 will be announced here on Friday (today). The results will also be available on the website of the AJK BISE after 9:30am. The boards website address is: www.ajkbise.net.
