JAMMU, Sept 11: To provide succor in the form of critically needed food items to the people who have been hit by the recent unprecedented heavy rains and resultant floods, BJP State Election Campaign Chairman Dr Nirmal Singh, along with Leader of the Legislative party Ashok Khajuria, Campaign Committee Secretary Sat Sharma (CA), Jammu district president Rajesh Gupta and other leaders, dispatched different eatable items to the technical airport Jammu for onward transportation and distribution.
These items including packed milk, biscuits, bread, rusks, water bottles, jams etc, which were either donated by the party workers or collected by them from the market associations and general public of different wards of Jammu.
Dr Nirmal Singh, on this occasion, said that although damage and destruction suffered by the affected people cannot be undone or adequately replaced but the BJP and its workers are leaving no effort undone to contribute their mite in their rehabilitation. He said that Narendra Modi led Government at the Centre is displaying its unwavering commitment to ameliorate the sufferings of the people and has ensured that every resource available in the country is committed at a gigantic scale towards the rescue, relief and rehabilitation. He also assured that the party will not rest till the last person is without food, proper medical care and adequately rehabilitated.
Ashok Khajuria said that the party activists have fanned out in different areas with an appeal to donate voluntarily for the flood affected people. He expressed hope that more and more people will come forward as per their capability and donate whole heartedly for the noble cause.
Rajesh Gupta, Chander Mohan Gupta, Yudhvir Sethi, N D Rajwal, Aseem Gupta, Naresh Dogra, Karan Singh, Sanjeev Sharma, S S Bijral, Sunil Dogra, Ayodhya Gupta, Kuldeep Kandhari, Sub Gurcharan Singh, Ram Prasad, Dwarka Nath, Manu Manav, Ajay Vaid, Rajiv Dubey, Chaman Mehra, Ramesh Sharma, Balraj Gupta, Atul Rajpal, Raj kumar, Anil Masoom, Vijay Bali, Karan Sat Sharma, Sunny Sehgal and others had collected these items.
