SAMBA, Sept 11: The people from Samba town today blocked Jammu-Pathankote National Highway and held protest demonstration against PDD authorities.
Residents of Ward No.1 and 2 of Samba town came out at the main chowk in the form of rally and then raised bari-cades at around 6. 45 pm and started protest. The movement of traffic remained disrupted for about 45 minutes. They raised slogans against PDD authorities for not replacing damaged transformer for the last five days. They alleged that residents were facing lot of hardships due to this.
Later, SHO reached there and assured them to take up the issue with concerned senior officials. The people then lifted dharna and allowed to restore traffic on busy highway.
