GURGAON: Three cops, including an SHO from Sohna, who were booked for the murder of a man found hanging inside the jail's toilet, were transferred to
Police Lines on Thursday. The body of
Wasim Khan, 22, who was in lock-up for alleged attempt to kidnap, was sent for a second
autopsy to PGI Rohtak.
Wasim, of Palwal district, accused of attempting to kidnap his employer's son after he was sacked, was found hanging in
Sohna police station on Wednesday morning.
Police said he had torn his blanket to make a noose. He also wrote a note on the walls of the jail proclaiming innocence. His father, however, accused police of foul play, saying Wasim was beaten to death.
The father demanded that his son's body be sent for another postmortem. The body was sent to PGI Rohtak on Thursday for another autopsy.
The case has been transferred to the state crime branch.
