Khammam: Former minister and Telugu Desam leader Tummala Nageswara Rao, who joined the Telangana Rashtra Samiti, seems to lead the party by associating all the party leaders in the party before his entry.
As part of it, Mr Nageswara Rao took the initiative in joining hands with Kothagudem legislator Jalagam Venkata Rao. He went to the house of Mr Venkata Rao and shared his views in strenghtheing the party in the district.
TRS does not have a base in many of the assembly segments including Palair, Madhira, Bhadrachalam, Sattupalli, Aswaraopet, Khammam, Wyra and Pinapaka. Mr Venkata Rao, who joined the TRS just before elections, obta-ined Kothagudem seat and won from there.
After Mr Nageswara Rao joined the TRS, a major chunk of the Telugu Desam cadre have gone to the TRS along with him.
Mr Venkata Rao, the lone TRS MLA from Khammam district and a leader of Velama community, hoped of getting a berth in KCR’s Cabinet. The TRS chief is unable to provide a place in his Cabinet due to the caste equations in Telangana. Mr Nages-wara Rao is the lone popular Kamma leader.
