Rajinikanth makes time for his fans

Hundreds of people from all over Karnataka came all the way to Sagar in Shimoga

The final schedule of K.S. Ravikumar’s Lingaa with Superstar Rajinikanth has been going on at a brisk pace in Shimoga for the last few weeks. Portions involving leading ladies Anushka Shetty and Sonakshi Sinha and some crucial high octane climax stunt sequences were being canned under the supervision of Hollywood stuntman Lee Whitaker.

According to sources, hundreds of people from all over Karnataka came all the way to Sagar in Shimoga, where Rajini was staying, to meet the iconic actor. It is said that Rajini was taking rest after he developed a pain in the left hand while shooting the action scenes, and wasn’t keen to meet anyone. But the moment he came to know that there were women with children who had been waiting for hours outside to get a glimpse of him, the humanitarian side of him didn’t let him relax. Reportedly, he called his assistants and asked them to inform his fans that he would meet them. When he stepped out of his hotel, he was surprised to see a huge crowd waiting in a queue despite the cold weather. Touched by his fans’ gesture, the Superstar patiently interacted with each one of them and posed for pictures.

Meanwhile, we hear that Rajini and K.S. Ravikumar will be back in Chennai to attend the high profile audio launch of Aascar Ravichandran’s film I which is scheduled for September 15 at Nehru Stadium. In the meantime, Anushka took time off from the shoot and visited the Kollur Mookambika temple to offer prayers and a special pooja.
