— -- In her new film, "Men, Women and Children," Jennifer Garner attempts to portray the way social media, including Twitter and Facebook, has changed relationships.

Garner is part of one of the most famous households in America, married to Ben Affleck, and mother to their three children -- Violet, 8, Seraphina, 5, and Samuel, 2.

"It makes you feel kind of sick to your stomach to watch the movie," she told Vanity Fair of the content of the film, especially as a mother and wife. "With parenting, how I feel about it and, specifically, about my character is we are just trying to get it right. You're trying to do right by your kids and protect them."

Garner -- who was in Toronto for a film festival and promoting her new movie -- added that a teacher in a parenting class she took in Los Angeles told her, "Prepare your child for the road, not the road for your child."

Explain to your kids, she added, that "this is why they are selling [things] this way."

"You have these really hard conversations already," she said.

When it came to her husband taking on the role of Batman, Garner said, "Everybody's excited for Batman."

She also addressed the fact that the movie doesn't come out till 2016.

"I've been asked all these questions about it," she said, "and Ben just said to me on the phone, 'Jennifer, next year at Toronto it will still be months from coming out.'"

As for how Affleck and Garner spice things up, she said, "Polaroids, that's what we do at the Affleck house, we have a stack of sexy Polaroids."
