Sisi denies claims over providing Palestinians with Sinai lands

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has denied news over his approval to provide
part of Egyptian lands to Palestinians.

In his speech on occasion of Teachers Day, Sisi said, “No one can do that.”

In related news, Gamal al-Shoubky, Palestinian ambassador to Cairo, denied
Israeli claims reported Palestinian and Arab media channels over offer by
Sisi to his Palestinian counterpart Mahmoud Abbas proposing expansion of the
Gaza Strip through Sinai land in return for ceding 1967 borders.

“Such news are untrue and fabricated. It was not proposed during the two
presidents’ meeting,” Shoubky told the state-run MENA news agency. He
confirmed that the issue is refused by Palestinians, Egyptians and Arabs.

The claims were originally reported by IDF radio.

“We will not accept any offer that does not fulfill aspirations and goals of
Palestinians of freedom, independence and establishing independent
Palestinian state on 1967 borders with its capital at Jerusalem,” he added.

He added such Israeli claims are known and were proposed under rule of
deposed President Mohamed Morsy. He called on media channels to stick to
accuracy.
