Caroline Flack Blog: My Strictly Mishap, Wedding Blooper And Conquering My Addiction To House Hunting

Dancing Queen

Strictly Come Dancing started at the weekend and I think it's fair to say it's the most nervous I have been since my very first day at school.

We've only done a total of 4 days dancing so far, but my body already feels on the verge of change. My groin kinda hurts (it was Anton, long story) and all I talk about to anyone is the cha cha.

Everyone is ridiculously nice on ‘Strictly’. The team is so positive and uplifting that I'm thinking of staying forever and just hanging out in the corridors until I retire...

If you watched the show on Sunday you’ll know I got paired with Pasha. I'd describe him as a Russian dance lord. He wears Latin trousers and low cut tops and is REALLY FUNNY! I think I've lucked out.

Basically ‘Strictly’ is already the best thing I've ever done... I can't wait for the first show... Woohoo!

Wedding Blooper

My very dear friend Carla got married at weekend and it truly was beautiful.

I love weddings. They represent everything I love most in the world. Love, happiness, friends, dressing up, cake, good dancing and REALLY bad dancing!

I bought a lovely little dress from Kenzo for it and wore the highest heels in my closet. So obviously when I realised the wedding was in a field, my shoe situation turned bleak! It was all going so well! Oh dear.

Luckily I was sat next to a lovely guy called Joe who decided to lend me his trainers for the evening... I put my little size 2s into his mammoth 11s and danced away into the night – as you can see from this pictorial evidence!

London Fashion Week

It's the beginning of London fashion week and every street in the capital
turns into a catwalk.

The tube is a hub of kookily dressed gals and guys all happily networking on the net and posting pictures of EVERY OUTFIT POSSIBLE... There’s a different party every night of the week. I can't do that anymore - two day hangovers and all.

Woman Crush Weekly

So my woman crush this week goes to Britain’s very own Kate Moss. For me she still reigns as style icon number one.

Her air of mystery and 'never explain, never complain' attitude reinforces that she's still queen of the catwalk.

Pause for thought

I've never been very good at staying in one place for very long. I'm a bit like Cher in the film Mermaids. When things go wrong in my life, I move house. My sister finds this mildly amusing and (when things go right again) so do I.

I've started browsing online estate agents recently and realised that maybe I'm just never going to change. But I got talking to a very good friend who just very bluntly blurted out “Carrie, you need to stop moving DAMN IT!”

So I declare now: My addiction to house websites has been put on hold for the time being. I’m pretty sure this probably doesn’t make any sense to anyone at all so I guess my pause for thought is to ‘stop running away from bad situations and try and solve them instead’.

It's working... For now.
