Sholay magic recreated in Baavare Prem He
'Baavare Prem He', the third Marathi outing of 'Lagna Pahave Karun' fame director Ajay Naik is all set to hit movie theatres on September 26.
The film described as a 'musical romantic' by the director is said to have recreated the magic of 'Sholay'. Ajay says, "The story of the film takes place in the scenic background of Goa. I have a character in the movie that comes to Goa and falls in love with a girl.
He plays mouth organ in the memory of this girl. My father Kishor Naik, 72, has played the mouth organ in this film. The melodious musical instrument is not used merely for one song but its there throughout the movie as the plot revolves around this guy. One can say that we have recreated the magic of Sholay yet again where we had seen Amitabh Bachchan playing the instrument throughout the film. It is a welcome change for a very lyrical film like 'Baavare Prem He' as these days; we rarely find mouth organ used even in Bollywood movies. My father, as a musician, has done a great job and he is the 'youngest' musician in our crew!"
In the film, well known playback singer from bollywood, Shaan, has lent his voice for two tracks along with Shankar Mahadevan, Bela Shende, Hrishikesh Ranade and Apeksha Dandekar. Spruha Joshi has debuted as a lyricist with one song in the film. The film features Urmila Kanetkar-Kothare and Siddharth Chandekar as the main leads.
