Water level receding at Sardar Sarovar dam

The water level at Sardar Sarovar dam over Narmada has started receding since Tuesday morning.The dam was overflowing at 124.40 meter in the evening, which is three meters above from its peak level of 121.92 meters.

BHARUCH: The water level at Sardar Sarovar dam over Narmada has started receding since Tuesday morning. The dam was overflowing at 124.40 meter in the evening, which is three meters above from its peak level of 121.92 meters.
According to dam site control room, "Water inflow from downstream is 2,17,470 cusecs whereas outflow is recorded 2,66,719 cusecs.
The level is reducing by six cm every hour."
Meanwhile, the water level at Golden Bridge in Bharuch was touching 22 feet, just three feet less than the danger mark. The river near Bharuch was flowing bank to bank.
Bharuch collector Vinod Rao told mediapersons that two villages ? Sarfuddin and Khalapia of Ankleshwar taluka ? have been asked to remain vigilant but there is no high alert.
