Big Brother UK winner unknowingly led police to fugitive boyfriend's hideout

The winner of Big Brother UK unwittingly led police to her fugitive boyfriend when she visited him in Cyprus.
Louis Larsson, 29, was hiding out on the Mediterranean island in May 2013 after he skipped out of England while on probation for a five-year sentence he received for firearms offences, a Bolton court has been told.
Larsson, the former boyfriend of Big Brother winner Helen Wood, was found after an undercover police officer followed 27-year-old Wood in April this year to his hideout in the coastal city of Paphos.
"The defendant fled the jurisdiction and was arrested on an international arrest warrant in Cyprus in spring this year," prosecutor Geoff Whelan told the court.
"Police followed his girlfriend Helen, who (since) gained notoriety in Big Brother, and arrested him there."
Larsson has been returned to prison to serve out the remainder of his five-year sentence with an additional 20 months for fresh firearms charges to run alongside his existing sentence.
Wood, who is said to no longer be in a relationship with Larsson, pocketed more than $175,000 when she won the UK's Big Brother last month, vowing she would put her colourful past behind her.
The former prostitute became known to the world when it was alleged she and a friend were involved in a threesome with English football star Wayne Rooney before the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
Rooney's wife Coleen was pregnant at the time.
