Army alerted to deal with flood in Vadodara, 27 roads in Gujarat closed, 125 villages lose power supply:CM(Video)

Out of total 202 reservoirs across Gujarat, 23 are now full to their capacity. Zone wise: north Gujarat 1, central Gujarat 3, south Gujarat 3, Saurasthra 16.
37 reservoirs are 90% full and therefore on high alert, 12 are 80-90% full and therefore on alert, 11 are 70-80% full and therefore on general alert by flood control cell Gandhinagar. 142 reservoirs have less than 70% storage of water.
Average rain of this monsoon season in Gujarat has been at 86.93% by 8.00 am on Tuesday. In just last 24 hours there has been 8% rainfall of the entire season.
In a review meeting held in Gandhinagar, Chief Minister Anandiben Patel asked district administrations to stay on alert. She asked all prabhari secretaries to stay in touch with the district administrations.
3 NDRF teams and Army have been alerted, rescue boats are ready to deal with flood situation in Vadodara.
Power supply in state’s 125 villages was affected. Moreover some areas also lost power supply due to water logging in sub stations.
Over 240 medical teams are ready to see that there’s no epidemic post heavy rain, water logging and flood situation.
In 9 districts, 27 roads under panchayat and state government are closed due to showers. Their repair work will be held after rains stop.
There’s no taluka in Gujarat where rainfall has been less than 125 mm. 112 talukas have received 500-1000 mm rain.
