THE international break could not have come at a better time for AmaZulu, who are the only team yet to register a win in the 2014-2015 Premier Soccer League season.

Unlike Chippa United and Polokwane City, the two early relegation candidates ahead of the current basement dwellers, Usuthu have been a beacon of tranquillity in a very stormy sea, even though they have lost three and drawn two of their five matches.

Coach Craig Rosslee has not parted ways with the club yet while the Chilli Boyz are on the hunt for a replacement of Kosta Pacic who since joined City.

AmaZulu only have two points to show for their efforts so far this season, while the Chilli Boyz and City have a win each.

The Durban side's team manager, Japhet Zwane, said they have used the break to pinpoint their mistakes but said their next two league matches against City and Bidvest Wits, both on the road, will be crucial in terms of judging if there has been any progress during the break.

AmaZulu travel to City on Saturday evening followed by a date with the Students on September 26 before another two-week international break.

"We haven't won a game yet, so the next two fixtures have become very important for us now," Zwane said.

"We need to make sure we at least get four points from our next two games to be able to at least alleviate some pressure. We will fight as hard as we can for those points.

"We have not been playing very badly at all," added Zwane yesterday..

Scoring, a common PSL problem, has been AmaZulu's major shortcoming, with the side only managing two goals in their five games while conceding seven.

Zwane hopes that centre forward Bongani Ndulula, who scored for South Africa against Sudan on Friday, is able to transfer the confidence from Bafana Bafana to his club form.
