The confident girls of Daulat Ram College were all set to impress the crowd and the judges in the auditions of Clean & Clear Delhi Times Fresh Face 2014. Before the auditions, many first-year students were heard discussing their stage acts, and so it wasn't a surprise when one got to hear interesting intros during the first round. Aanya, one of the contestants, drew inspiration from daily soaps, and said the same thing thrice with a lot of melodrama.Introducing herself, she said, `Mera naam hai Aanya.
Main karti hoon drama, drama, drama'. Another contestant, Apurva, introduced herself in Bhojpuri. There were others like Vasvi, who tried to bribe the students by saying, `Please yaar , agle round mein pahuncha do. Sabko chocolate khilaoongi.' The dramatics society girls were quite enthusiastic about the auditions as almost 20 girls from the society participated in the contest.
Testing the participants The second round saw the girls walking the ramp, singing and dancing to make their way into the third round. Emcee Maddy kept reminding the fuchchas that the two girls who win this contest get a chance to become the face of Clean & Clear. Mallika Sharma, last year's winner of the Delhi finale, from the college, also shared her experiences with the girls and asked them to shed their inhibitions. One of the contestants, Aishwarya, had the crowd swaying with her belly dancing moves during the second round and DJ Khushi tested her more by playing five songs one after the other. To which, the emcee, said, `Yeh agnipariksha nahi, Khushi pariksha hai jismein tum pass ho gayi.'
Happy smiles The Q&A round saw the girls battling Radio Mirchi RJ Rohit's questions. Finally, after the three rounds, it was fresh-faced Komal Kumari, who emerged the winner, while clearskinned Mishika Gandhi and Vinita Chaudhary were adjudged the first and second runners-up respectively .
