NEPTUNE, Calif., Sept. 8 (UPI) -- It's not the same as getting more Mars Investigations adventures, but Marshmallows rejoice: there's more of Neptune on the way. The Veronica Mars spinoff takes a meta approach to the cult classic: Play It Again, Dick stars Ryan Hansen, known to fans of the original UPN/CW series as Dick Casablancas, as he attempts to convince his costars to help launch a Dick-centric spinoff on the air.

Play It Again, Dick will premiere as a web series on CW Seed on September 16.
It's not clear how much of the show will be the actors as themselves and how much they'll play their old roles. Kristen Bell, as the titular Veronica, and Jason Dohring, as her troubled love Logan, will both appear, and Hansen sounds just like Dick.
In the trailer, Hansen tells Bell he wants Dick to get in on the private eye game, promising "motorcycle, catchphrases, signature cocktail, barely dressed hot chicks, me nailing hot chicks, badassery."
