Eddy Kenzo, Navio get Channel O nominations

Eddy Kenzo and rapper Navio have landed a nomination each in the Channel O Africa Music Awards. Nominated under the same category, Most Gifted East, the musicians will be flying the Ugandan flag high on November 29 at Nasrec Expo Centre in Soweto, Johannesburg, South Africa.

Kenzo is nominated for his youtube viral video Sitya Loss whereas Navio is nominated for his single, No Holding Back. However, the competition is tight with Tanzania’s Diamond Platinumz nominated in the same group for his Number One. Kenya’s Sauti Sol for their Nshike jam and another Kenyan group Elani were also nominated for their jam, KooKoo.
Leading with the most nominations this year is South African hip hop star Cassper Nyovest, K.O and Nigeria’s Davido with five nominations each. Davido’s club banger Aye dominates four categories; Most Gifted Male Video, Most Gifted Afro Pop Video, Most Gifted West Video and Most Gifted Video of the Year, while Skelewu earned him a comfortable spot in the Most Gifted Dance Video category.
