BHOPAL: Aiming at uprooting corruption from the state, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will soon start an anti-graft helpline in Madhya Pradesh. The party's new state executive, which was announced on Sunday, has decided to deal with the issue of corruption strictly.
"The idea is help the people who face problems due to the corruption prevalent in the society.
As the decision was taken today, we are yet to decide about other technicalities associated with the helpline, but we will be starting it soon," newly appointed convener of AAP's state executive, Alok Agarwal told TOI.
Agarwal, who has been associated with Narmada Bachao Andolan for long, had contested Lok Sabha polls from Khandwa.
Members of the national executive of AAP, Atishi Marlena and Guarav Tiwari announced the newly constituted 21-member state executive of the party on Sunday. Alok Agarwal has been appointed the convener of the state executive besides while state secretary Akshay Hunka will continue working as the secretary. Among others, former Congress MLA Kalpana Parulekar and former independent MLA Paras Saklecha will also play a significant role in the party's state executive. Socialist Anil Trivedi has been appointed chief of the party's political education wing in the state.
The party has divided the state into 12 divisions. It was decided that if required, the party will move court to expose corruption prevalent in the state.
Other committees including the Media committee, the Lokayukta committee will be announced shortly, said the office bearers of the party.
