Six injured in group clash at Vijaypur

SAMBA, Sept 7: Six people including a woman were injured in a group clash at Vijaypur today.
According to reports, three youth from Gurah Salathi identified as Sukhdev Singh, son of Pritam Singh, Surinder Singh, son of Mohan Singh and Mandip Singh, son of Bishambar Singh who after reaching Vijaypur tried to ease themselves in a lane nearby. This was objected by a lady identified as Sunita Gupta wife of Om Parkash whose house was in the same lane.
This resulted in verbal duel between the lady and the youth who also thrashed the lady. As her two sons Gurav Gupta and Saurav Gupta saw that their mother has been attacked by the youth, they rushed to the spot and caught hold of them. A clash ensued resulting into the injuries to all the five.
They have been rushed to GMC Jammu for treatment. The Police has registered a case but no arrest ahs been made so far.
This is the third such incident of attack in Vijaypur township during last two months. Earlier one agent of the minibuses was attacked by some youth followed by damaging of some vehicles on a petrol pump by some goons over a week back.
The people of the town have expressed their concern over the lawlessness in Vijaypur and accused the police of its total failure in maintaining law and order in the town.
