Manny Pacquiao confirms 'serious negotiation' with Floyd Mayweather

Filipino boxing icon and WBO world welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao confirmed that there are ongoing negotiations for a much-awaited showdown against Floyd Mayweather.

Speaking with media at the Pacquiao-Algieri New York press tour, Pacquiao surprised a group journalists with his revelation.

"There's a serious negotiation with the Mayweather camp," uttered Pacquiao in front of the surrounding media.

Various reports this past weeks floated that the mega fight between Pacquiao and Mayweather may finally happen in the near future.

When asked as to when the fight will happen, Pacquiao strengthened Bob Arum's hints from previous reports.

"Probably by next year," said Pacquiao. — JST, GMA News
