An onsite mock drill to test the preparedness to handle emergency situations was held at the Trichy Distilleries and Chemicals Limited unit here on Friday.
A fire accident was simulated at the acetic acid plant of the factory with various teams responding to the emergency. The Fire and Rescue Services, Cantonment, send its fire tenders.
The mock drill was witnessed by B.Alagesan, Joint Director of Industrial Safety and Health, Tiruchi, and C.Malathi and Kamala Kannan, Deputy Directors.
R.Krishnan, Station Fire Officer, and D.Balasubramanian, Station Officer, Fire and Rescue Service, Cantonment, and M.Vijayasekaran, factory general manager, were present.
