Raiders will wear black jerseys on Sunday

As part of their home field advantage, the New York Jets are opting to wear their white jerseys Sunday in hot and humid conditions against the Oakland Raiders.

That means the Raiders will be wearing their black jerseys. Normally used only at home. The Jets are wearing all white and are requesting fans to do the same to create a “whiteout” at MetLife Stadium.

It is expected to be about 80 degrees and humid on Sunday. The Raiders practiced in New Jersey on Friday in about 90-degree temperatures.

“We have to make sure we do a good job of staying hydrated, but we’re not going to let any external factors affect how we go out and play the game,” Raiders coach Dennis Allen said.

Meanwhile, Ken Olson, the father of Oakland offensive coordinator Greg Olson, died this week.
