New 2015 Kawasaki Versys 1000 spied

This is the heavily-revised 2015 Kawasaki Versys 1000 which has been given a comprehensive makeover – which is just as well as the current bike has always been ranked as fairly hideous and has masked the excellent bike underneath.
The new Versys 1000 was spied while on a photographic shoot in Romania earlier this week and pictures were published at www.motomag.com showing a rear three quarters image revealing the all-new bodywork which seems to ape the Ducati Multistrada 1200 to a certain extent.
No official information is available on the bike yet but MCN understands the Versys 1000, first launched in 2011 before going on sale in early 2012, will be getting some fairly big technical changes to the engine, suspension and overall electronics on offer and will be launched at either the Cologne or Milan motorcycle shows this autumn.
The Versys 1000 has never really been a sales success despite the talents the bike has shown as a great value road-biased adventure bikes because the controversial styling has always hampered sales and deterred buyers. This cosmetic revamp should go a long way to changing that.
MCN understands a revised Versys 650 parallel-twin will be launched at the same time for the 2015 model year.
