Modi lauds Dr Raman Singh for education in Chhattisgarh
RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh chief minister, Dr Raman Singh, received a thumbs up from Prime Minister, Narender Modi, for his efforts to improve education system in the Naxal affected areas of the state.
Responding to question raised by a girl, Anjali, during the live video conference interaction with students of Dantewada district of South Bastar on the occasion of Teachers Day, Modi said he had extensively toured the district and was satisfied with the efforts put in by the state government and Dr Singh in raising the educational levels in these areas, particularly for girls.

Though the young girl had asked the PM about the steps being taken to have more schools in Bastar district, Modi maintained that there were enough schools and the state government had taken adequate steps for it.
The Prime Minister also lauded the young girl for raising the issue of education in Bastar district. He said it is a matter of pride that while violence has bloodied the lands of this district, this young girl was so concerned about education.
Interestingly this is the second time when Chhattisgarh has received appreciation from the PM. During the run up for the Lok Sabha elections, Modi had praised the development of Naya Raipur and lauded Dr Singh for it.
