MANGALORE: Devanahalli in Sirsi taluk of Uttara Kannada district recorded maximum rainfall of 75mm in Karnataka in the last 24-hours up to 8.30am on September 5. Aurad hobli in Aurad taluk of Bidar district recorded maximum temperature of 15.8°C on September 4 at 3.45pm. Rajeshwar hobli in Basavakalyan taluk of Bidar district recorded lowest minimum temperature of 16.5°C on September 5 at 4.45am.

Both maximum and minimum temperature changed little over the state. More than 90% relative humidity has been recorded in 49% geographical area in the state. Less than 25% of relative humidity has been recorded in 0% geographical area in the state.
Rainfall over the state is considered as isolated since 22% of hoblis and gram panchayats recorded rainfall of 2.5mm. Heavy rain was recorded in two gram panchayats, rather heavy rain in 10 GPs; moderate rain in 114 GPs, light rain in 181 GPs, very light rain in 460 GPs each; and no rain in remaining 1,179 GPs.
Karnataka for the period from August 30 to September 5 recorded surplus rainfall of 71%. Against normal weighted average rainfall of 31.1mm in south-interior, north-interior, malnad and coastal parts, state recorded rainfall of 53.3mm. For 24-hours period ending 8.30am on September 5, four geographical regions received 4.8mm actual weighted average rainfall against normal weighted average rainfall of 4.1mm, a 17% surplus departure from normal.
