The daily entry register maintained at 2, Janpath, CBI House, and accessed by dna mentions the name of Paswan in its first entry along with Mithlesh, a regular at the chief’s residence, whose exact identity is still unclear. The entry on March 16 reads Mithlesh+Ram Vilas Paswan in DL-3C-BD-7216. Paswan spent a good 46 minutes at the CBI chief’s residence between 9:05am and 9:51am. Read more

The HRD Ministry, for Teacher's Day, issued an order asking Schools to make arrangements to screen the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address and have students listen to it. Talking to dna, a top diplomat of an influential Arab country said baring some exceptions, though India had never appeared a recruiting ground, there have been cases of Indian-origin youth living abroad getting swayed by extremist ideologies. #4 Australian PM Tony Abbott to meet Narendra Modi over key nuclear deal today
Describing India as an "emerging democratic superpower", Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott kicked off his two-day India visit during which the two countries are likely to clinch an elusive civil nuclear deal. Abbott is visiting New Delhi on Friday and is scheduled to hold talks with top Indian leadership in Delhi including President Pranab Mukherjee, Vice President Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister Modi and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj tomorrow. Vijayawada, the newly declared capital of Andhra Pradesh is located on the banks of the Krishna and Budameru rivers. The name Vijayawada translates as "the place of victory." "Inspire" is an English-language online magazine published since 2010 by al Qaeda. I just read the latest issue and found a lot of what I expected, and some things I didn't. Aimed primarily at radicalising young audiences in the United States and Britain, the English language magazine appears semi-regularly (there have been 12 issues so far). Graphically well-done, the editorial parts of the magazine are a mix of religious and jihadi-inspirational pieces, reporting and bomb-making instructions. Read more 

#7 Washington Post article on Delhi juvenile rapist is a questionable case of pre-judgment
The December 16 gang-rape of a 23-year-old medical student in Delhi is of the most discussed incidents of recent times. According to National Crime Records Bureau​ (NCRB) data, one incident of rape occurs every 20 minutes in India. However, what made this case stand out was the extremely brutal nature of the gang-rape, which finally led to the death of the young woman. Five out of the six rapists were handed death sentences by the Delhi High Court and one of them escaped major punishment since he was a juvenile at the time, just six months shy of his 18th birthday. The subsequent furore which started from the incident even forced the Government to contemplate changing the laws regarding rape and the age of juveniles in case of serious crimes like rape and murder.
