BHOPAL: Senior Congress leader and former Member of Parliament from Dhar, Surajbhan Singh Solanki and husband of a senior IAS officer were also let off by state's special task force (STF) after their names cropped up in the MPPEB scam. Like former chief minister Uma Bharti, these high-profile men were not questioned by the probe agency.
Issue came to fore on Tuesday when STF presented its charge-sheet against two persons in the contractual teacher's appointment (Grade 3) scam before chief judicial magistrate Pankaj Maheshwari.
Charge-sheet was filed against MPPEB's principal system analyst Nitin Mohindra and Layak Singh Kushwaha of Gwalior.
Kushwaha, who was a mediator in the scam, told STF that he met board's former exam controller Pankaj Trivedi at the residence of former MP Surajbhan Singh Solanki through Amit Pande, husband of senior IAS Ajita Bajpai Pande. However, neither Amit nor Solanki were questioned, said sources.
Kushwaha had given a list of 12 candidates to operators of MPPEB job racket and all were selected.
