Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation plans Perumal temple tours soon

TTDC plans to organise Vaishnavite pilgrimage
Chennai: With an aim to usher the divine experience in the Tamil month of Purattasi (mid-September to mid-October), the Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC) proposes to launch at least eight special tours to various Perumal temples.
Purattasi, the sixth month as per the Tamil almanac, is auspicious as it is dedicated to God Perumal (Lord Venkateswara). The tours which also includes the one-day trip to Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Tirupathi, comes with a guide service and are operated from Chennai. A one-day Tirupathi tour in a Volvo AC bus with a tariff of Rs 1,500 per adult and Rs 1,200 per child with a vegetarian breakfast and lunch and special darshan tickets, departs from here at 5.10 am and returns to Chennai at 11 pm.
The five-day Malainaatu Tirupathigal tour covering about 16 temples, is priced at Rs 6,200 per person and commences every Wednesday at 6.30 am and returns to the city the following Sunday at 9 pm.
The five-day Pandia Naatu Tirupathigal tour with Rs 5,700 as tariff for single room accommodation, Rs 4,700 for sharing a double room and '4,100 per child, departs every Friday at 9 pm and returns to Chennai the following Wednesday at 5 am.
The one-day Swathi Narasimha Perumal tour, coinciding with the Swathi star of Sri Narasimha Perumal covers Sindirikudi, Poovarasankupam and Parikal temples in and around Chennai. Leaving Chennai at 6 am, it returns to Chennai at 9 pm and the tariff is Rs 750 per person.
Other tours include: The one-day Thiruvonam Perumal tour falling on the Thiruvonam star, one-day nine Perumal darshan tour, one-day Kancheepuram Divya Desam Thirupathigal tour and 3-day Ammavasai tour.
