Following many of its contemporaries, another upcoming show on television derives its name from a popular Hindi song. Disney, which would soon be coming up with a 26-episode series titled Kabhi Aise Geet Gaya Karo picked up from the famous song from the Amol Palekar-Tina Munim-starrer Baton Baton Mein.
The show that is slated to go on air in October is a situational comedy produced by Cinevistaas. A source close to the project mentions that the show is set against the backdrop of a close-knit family headed by Sudhir Pandey. “Other actors in it are Mahesh Thakur, Manini Mishra, Nitish Pandey and Renuka Shahane, who is playing the bahu of the family,” says the source informing that the serial brings to the fore the positive attitude of the family even during difficult times which is approached with a tinge of humour.
With just the pilot been shot, the time and slot for the serial has not been fixed. When contacted, Renuka Shahane refused to talk about the show as she is contract-bond. However, she mentioned that she is doing a cameo in Rajshri Production’s Mere Rang Mein Rangnewali for Life OK.
