Dileep pens a letter to Mahabali about his woes!

After Manju Warrier posting a detailed letter about the updates of her life and marriage on her social media profile, it is her estranged husband Dileep’s turn to pen a similar one. However, in tune with the Onam season, his letter is sprinkled with festive flavour, and is addressed to none other than King Mahabali! He pours out his woes to the Asura king and also requests the Mollywood audience not to spread rumours about him.
Comparing his plight to that of Mahabali, (legend has it that the gods plotted against Mahabali to end his reign and he was trampled down to the netherworld by Vamana), the actor writes, “Our lives are similar, especially in the aspect of being trampled down. Just as your subjects loved you, it is my Malayali brothers who raised me as a popular actor. Those jealous of your rule and power trampled you into netherworld by sending Vamana. A handful of envious people are similarly trying to strike me as well. This happens especially during the release of my films. What gives me the strength is the family audience, who eagerly awaits the release of my movies.”
As the letter wraps up, he requests the audience as a father not to believe the rumours about him. “Though people know that there is no truth in the lies hurled at me these days, there is a tender heart at my home that is injured listening to it all. I request all gossipmongers, not as a star but as a father, not to forget this fact. Meenakshi and I wish all the well-wishers and antagonists a happy Onam,” says Dileep.
